The number of foreign tourists
arriving in the country through last year rose by 7.19 percent, from 8.8
million tourists in 2013 to 9.43 million in 2014, Central Statistics Agency
(BPS) data revealed on Monday.
The country’s main tourist gateway,
Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, recorded the highest number of
arrivals with 3.73 million tourists in 2014, up by 15.11 percent from 3.24
million tourists the previous year.
Meanwhile, Soekarno-Hatta International
Airport in Banten, west of Jakarta, recorded only a 0.26 percent growth in
foreign visitors, up from 2.24 million people in 2013 to 2.246 million people
last year.
BPS head Suryamin said that Lombok
International Airport in West Nusa Tenggara was the gateway that saw the
highest increase in foreign tourists with a jump of 73.06 percent to 69,881
people in 2014, up from 40,380 people in 2013.
In addition, in December 2014
alone, there were 915,334 travelers visiting destinations across the archipelago,
a rise of 6.35 percent from 764,461 travelers in the previous he said.

There many Industry which can
develop Indonesia’s Economic. One of these,there is tourism. Indonesia is the
countru who have many paradise place which can visit by tourists. This Sector
must we use to Increase foreign exchange which decrease in many sectors this
years. We can Develop Indonesia culture to make tourists interesting to visit
Indonesia. The Other positive effects which we can earn is, we can redude
unemployment and give them chance to carrier in tourism sector. We are
Indonesian people and we must give positive view to overseas that we have best
tourism country in the world and we can also help indonesia to develop Economy
from that sector.
